Bells and Whistles

The market is fickle.

Often, there’s no reason to pour unnecessary resources into an unproven idea (no matter how much we like it).

Presentation is important, but not as important as quality.

As a general heuristic: it's better to sell people with your product (in spite of bad advertising), than to sell them with your advertising (in spite of your product).

In the latter scenario, our returns are linear. But in the former, they're exponential.

And over time, that makes all the difference.
